Orion's Gimp art

There's some traditional art in there too, but most of them are really really REALLY old traditional art. I started using gimp about 8 months ago, and have pretty much progressed since then through experience. I don't use a tablet, in fact, not too long ago, I didn't even know what a tablet was XD I just draw on the touchpad on my laptop and it does just fine. Hopefully sooner or later I'll have the budget to buy photoshop CS2, but until then, I'll just learn what I can with Gimp... and besides, it's better to learn the hard way anyway, right?

Also if you have any questions about using Gimp, feel free to ask me, and I'll gladly answer.

Yup, a tablet is just like a laptop touch pad, but bigger.

Nice artwork, I like your style of coloring. It looks very nice.

Photoshop CS2 is nice but I prefer 7.0... No reason really, it's just simpler I guess plus it has the functions I like. XD
I'm surprised you use a touchpad, those always seem so difficult to use when I use my dad's laptop!
Hmm, how does Gimp work? I always had trouble with that... As sad as it sounds I always figured it even more confusing than photoshop!

GIMP is also a bit confusing to me. but I'm reading the manual.

Ah, simple. You go to the Gimp dialouge and go to File and select Open, then you browse which image you want from your folder.
